Daniel Minoli is one of the most popular authors on the telecom and networking technology shelf, with more than a dozen well-received guides to his credit. Dry catalogue of industry practice

This book is a basic review of a range of standards and industry practices for energy efficiency in telecommunications networks. It is a bit of a disappointment in that it does not really introduce the reader to concepts of energy consumption in telecommunications nor does it provide any real understanding of the challenges at hand. It is more-so a dry and methodical description of current practices. Something one can easily pick up from documents, standards and white papers on the web.
If you really want a good understanding of the issues, methods and challenges of energy efficiency in telecommunications and green networks, there are plenty of freely available pdf documents on the web. Try those.
